The Art of Gratitude

Gratitude is at the heart of living a happy and fulfilling life. When we regularly take time to give thanks and share a sense of abundance with others around us, we attract even more goodness. The mindfulness practice of gratitude and showing appreciation daily can have a profound effect on your mental wellbeing, even more-so when times are tough. People who practice gratitude tend to be less stressed and depressed than those who don’t. They are less likely to be overwhelmed by bad fortune. They even sleep better at night. We have found that practicing gratitude each day instills a level of perspective that makes us appreciate all the things that we have in our life. It allows us to control the controllables and forget the uncontrollables.

How do I practice ‘gratitude’?

Simply take the time daily. We recommend first thing in the morning to write down 3 separate things you are grateful for that day. When we show appreciation for something, we call the attention to the good things in our lives. We remember those things that we might take for granted when we offer thanks. When we express our thanks to someone or something, we are reminded that we are not alone. Taking the time to implement the practice of gratitude and appreciation into your daily habits and routines allows you to gain perspective and is key to unlocking your true potential
