Who Are We?

Mitchell and Nick

The Key Journal Program has been constructed by Mitchell Briggs and Nick Newman.

We are two young men from the Central Coast who are strong believers that daily self development is the key to unlocking your true potential.

Mitchell is the owner of a semi private gym based in Erina, as well as an online coach. After working through his own challenges with Mental Health, Mitchell’s love and passion for self development and journaling really sparked as he came to realise the positive impact it had on him.

Nick is a director of Steinbok Brands. Self development came into Nick’s life whilst living overseas playing Rugby League. Although the experience is one he is grateful for,  it still came with its challenges and Nick looked to journaling to help him regain control of his life and emotions.

We hope you love The Key Journal as much as we loved bringing it to you. This journal and our programs are an accumulation of ideas and focus points that have helped us get through some of our darkest days and have kept us on track with our goals.

The Key Journal and its programs are important to me because they serve as tools for individuals to dive into the fundamentals needed for holistic personal and physical growth. Our program foundations consistently yield positive results and being able to provide this brings immense satisfaction.

The impact I hope to make by providing our services is one of real holistic change – one where a participant can look back and understand why and how they have developed physically and mentally along the journey.

My favorite aspect of running our programs is witnessing participants wholeheartedly engage leaving no stone unturned. The reward for me, comes from witnessing the impactful positive changes we make in people’s lives.

The Key Journal and its programs are deeply significant to me because they embody my passion for holistic health and serving others. Witnessing individuals embark on transformative journeys towards better physical and mental health resonates profoundly with my purpose in life. The journal-based approach coupled with physical movement serves as a catalyst for sustainable change, which creates a sense of empowerment and fulfillment in each participant that we work with.

My aim with The Key Journal is to build profound personal growth and positive lifestyle shifts within our community by directly impacting those we work with. By facilitating sessions focused on personal development, self-reflection and real-life health practices, I aspire to empower individuals to unlock their full potential and create habits that enhance their overall well-being. Ultimately, I seek to inspire lasting change that individuals take into their life, even outside of  our program.

My favorite part of running our programs is seeing the real changes in each participant. Whether it’s someone having an “aha” moment during journaling or feeling the physical benefits of regular movement, it’s these concrete shifts that excite me. I aim to create a supportive space where individuals feel motivated to take on challenges, make positive changes, and find fulfillment. Together, we’re working towards a healthier future—one practical step at a time.

The Key Journal’s program is giving individuals the opportunity to make significant changes in their life for the better. Being a part of something bigger than myself and seeing people make these changes is truly inspiring and I believe we can offer more in the NDIS space.

My ultimate goal with my involvement in the Key Journal is to be able to provide an amazing service like this to as many people as possible. I want to be able to continue to work towards creating an environment that individuals can thrive in and become the best versions of themselves.

Taking individuals through the movement part of the program is by far the most rewarding. Movement in itself is its own form of medicine and to see individuals gaining a level of self confidence and belief that they haven’t felt before is a feeling that can’t be described. By implementing a program like this, I truly believe we can set individuals up with better, long term sustained habits that will make their quality of life significantly better.

Ever since I first learned about The Key Journal and the program a couple of years ago, I’ve found it to be an incredibly valuable tool. It not only helps individuals improve their time management skills but also provides insights into self-discovery.
With features like daily affirmations, goal setting, notes to self and daily reflections,
individuals can prioritise their well-being and focus on what needs to be accomplished each day for success. The physical exercise aspect of the program is also crucial, as it allows individuals to witness both physical and mental growth and development.

I am dedicated to effecting change and building meaningful connections with others.
Using the tools I’ve acquired, I’m passionate about guiding individuals to build their character and personality. I aim create a safe, comfortable environment where they
can freely explore their potential and delve into the mental and physical components of the Key Journal program.

Drawing from my own life experiences and understanding each individual we work
with, my aim is to establish a relatable connection. I aspire to motivate people to
outgrow their current limits and most importantly, to emphasize that embarking on this journey means we are friends for life!!!

The best part of running the program for me is the initial meet-up. I get a kick out of
seeing how thrilled the clients are when they show up for a session. At the same time, I take pride in being able to pick up on any lack of enthusiasm, which might be due to other stuff going on in their lives. But by the end of the session, we’ve usually had a blast, and they’re all geared up to take on the day. They walk away feeling proud of themselves, thanks to the journaling and physical exercise we’ve done together.

The Key Journal is a structured program to help individuals change their lives for the better. The thoughtful program is designed to open people’s perspective of their life. It provides guidance on how to practice gratitude, better help plan their days/ weeks, document goals as well as physical activity. These are all things I’ve done myself for many years and truly understand the benefits of every aspect of The Key Journal program.

I hope to be able to use my own skills in the physical and mental health space along side the structured program to support and provide tailored support to each individual.

I am extremely passionate with the work that I do. I love listening to peoples stories, hearing their past struggles and knowing I will do everything in my power to help them feel supported and safe. Seeing growth in each client is extremely rewarding, whether its mental, physical or a better habit they’ve managed to create in their life. Any impact big or small is always worth celebrating. The Key Journal allows space for all of that. Seeing the smiles on the clients face, knowing they are walking away happier, healthier and more content than when they walked in is a feeling that will never fade.

The Key Journal is an incredible program because it provides people with valuable tools in their individual journey of self discovery. As humans, finding our purpose is so important and The Key Journal helps create a space to flourish that purpose. It’s amazing to see and feel the shift in one’s self confidence through creating clear direction.

For me, I hope to positively impact as many people’s lives as possible through mindset and movement. The power of reflection through journaling and clarity through moving your body is indescribable. Helping people find this power is just the best. Being in their corner and showing them you believe in them, is exactly what I hope to achieve – so then this domino’s into them believing in themself too!

My favourite aspect is definitely being someone’s space for vulnerability but also power. Sitting with them to say, I’m here for you, I believe in you and I can’t wait to see your success. If I can contribute to someone’s life trajectory in a positive way, the pleasure is mine.
